Stuffed Mushroom Caps

Ingredients
12 Large fresh whole mushrooms
Method
1) Gently remove stems from mushrooms. Chop stems finely and set aside
2 Tbsp. veg. oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
1/4 Lbs. ground beef (optional)
2 slices of ham, coursely chopped
1/3 Cup dry sherry
1/4 Cup seasoned dry bread crumbs
1 Tsp. garlic powder
1 Tsp. salt
2 Tsp. pepper
1/4 Cup parmesan cheese
2) Place caps on cookie sheet
3) Heat oil in large skillet over moderate heat
4) Cook onion and beef till lightly browned, stirring frequently
5) Add chopped stems, ham, & sherry - cook five minutes
6) Add bread crumbs, garlic powder, salt, pepper. Mix well
7) Stuff caps - sprinkle with cheese
8) Broil 3 inches from flame for 2-5 minutes
9) Can be made ahead - (take out of frige and bake in 350 degree oven for 20-30 minutes, put under broiler for 1 minute)
10) Serve to greedy children
