BBQ Rib Sauce

 


Ingredients

1/4 Cup Minced Onion
1 1/2 Cups Water
1 6 oz. Can Tomato Paste
1/2 Cup White Vinegar
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
2 1/2 Tbsp. Honey
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
2 Tsp. Salt
1/4 Tsp. Coarse Black Pepper
1/4 Tsp. Liquid Smoke Flavoring
2 Tsp. Whiskey (feel free to add more)
2 Tsp. Garlic Powder
1/4 Tsp. Paprika
1/2 Tsp. Onion Powder
1 Tbsp. Dark Molases
1 Tbsp. Ground Red Chile Pepper
2 1/4 Tbsp. Oil

Method

1) Heat oil in meadium saucepan over medium heat
2) Cook & stir the onions in the oil for 5 minutes.
3) Stir in water, tomato paste, vinegar, brown sugar, and worcestershire sauce.
4) Season with salt, pepper, liquid smoke, whiskey, garlic powder, onion powder, dark molasses and chile pepper
5) Bring mixture to a boil, then reduce heat.
6) Simmer for 1 1/4 hours uncovered or until sauce thickens.
7) Serve to greedy children (serves 4-6)
