Jed's Recipe Book - Cinnamon Rolls

Cinnamon Rolls


Ingredients

2 Cups boiling water
1/2 Cup Sugar
2 eggs
1 yeast cake - or equivalent yeast packet
2 tsp. salt
8 Cups flour
2 Tbsp. Crisco
1 stick butter
1 Cup dark brown sugar
Cinnamon to taste
Raisins to taste
13x9 inch pan
Oven at 400 degrees

Method

1) Pour boiling water of sugar and crisco
2) Cool to luke warm
3) Add yeast, and beaten eggs
4) Stir Flour with salt, and mix with other ingredients
5) Knead and put in greased bowl (this mixture can stay in the refrigerator for 12 hrs until risen)
6) Note : it can be kept in the refrigerator for up to a month
7) Punch down
8) Roll out to 1/4 - 1/2 inch thick
9) Spread with melted butter and brown sugar. You should be able to see dough through sugar (these ingredients are not inculded in the measurements above)
10) Sprinkle with cinnamon and raisins
11) Roll up - slice 1 inch thick rolls
12) Spread melted butter and brown sugar on the bottom of a 13x9 inch pan
13) Let rolls raise 1 hour in warm place
14) Preheat oven to 400 degrees
15) Bake for about 15 min.
16) Serve to greedy children.
